I went heavy cash and income funds August 2007. Parked the cash in AAA+ ARPS. Traded some 'in the money covered calls' after that. A number of those shares are now longer term investments. The ARPS are illiquid. Merrill is now buying them back. Every now and then I purchase a few shares of some beat up company, but mostly I play golf. Life is good despite my portfolio bleeding all over the place.
