About WMD's - it is also important that there WILL NOT be WMD's in Iraq in the future. An ugly, ambitious, bloody regime has been changed for something far better.

Add to the balance sheet the fact that al-Qaeda suffered a humiliating defeat in Iraq. They moved in into that country after liberation, with the intent to embarrass us and kick our butt - the way they did to Russians in Afghanistan. They failed - in large part because the local population came to despise them.

The concern is (as it well should be) that with a leader like Carter, or Gore, or Kerry - or Obama in charge - the OBL/Zarqawi strategy might have succeeded.
