Philip, I generally agree with Ms. Wolf, whoever she and BT Securities are.

Regarding the $1.32 number, the last two quarters are excellent indicators on how accurate these analysts are. I don't think anyone can estimate QCOM's 1997 earnings, not even Jacobs or White. For our sake, the lower the estimate the better, for obvious reasons.

Timing wise, she is absolutely correct. I don't see anything truly up and running until early 1997. However, we have to stop and think about the scope of these networks. How many manufacturers are making handsets now? What is the schedule of all the infrastructure? How about marketing? It takes quite a bit of coordinating.

Earnings will not be an issue for QCOM, revenue is going to be the driving force. They can easily have revenue growth rate in the three digits for the next few quarters, not to mention billion dollar backlogs. I don't think Wall Street can ignore that for long.

Maurice, glad you have finally awaken. Those were a few good posts. I think they should qualify for the vacancy that just occured in Washington. I understand the food is pretty good, all the big Macs you can eat and hookers on the side.
