Extents of "A" Zone Returns up to 0.53% Uranium Oxide in Surface on Dios Upinor Project

MONTREAL, QUEBEC, CANADA--(Marketwire - Oct. 8, 2008) - DIOS EXPLORATION (TSX VENTURE: DOS.V) updates its summer exploration progress on its large 450 sq. kilometer UPINOR uranium project (owned 50%-50% with Sirios Resources) in the LaGuiche Basin, Quebec, Canada. A total of new 156 grab samples were collected this summer on the property and 142 along the radioactive A zone and its extents, 44 out of 142 (31%) assaying more than 0.05% U3O8, including 36 (25%) more than 0.07% U3O8, 25 (18%) more than 0.10 % U3O8 and nine values over 0.2 % U3O8. The best assay was 0.534 % U3O8.

These results are in addition to the significant results released last spring from 30 samples on the first two kilometres of the A uranium zone (returning over 2 % U3O8 in places).

The new results include a new radioactive sub-zone (south of "A") averaged 0.076% U3O8 for 21 samples, up to 0.238% U3O8, and 1.5 kilometer long. Upinor uranium mineralization consists of disseminated uraninite, uranophane, apatite, molybdenite and biotite in metric low-dipping pegmatite-alaskite sills/dykes injected in paragneisses.

Last summer, a mapping-prospecting program was completed to investigate a several kilometre long outcropping radioactive target ("A" zone), extended by a new airborne geophysical survey on the Upinor property. One of several first-priority geophysical targets, the "A" zone, with U/Th ratios of 2.4-3.2 times the background and now extending over a minimum of 10.0 by 0.2-05 kilometers, was prospected over 5 kilometers. Field readings (radiation solution RS-120) varying from 5,000 cps to 35,900 cps (counts per seconds) characterize the "A" zone.

Later this summer, a twelve-hole helicopter-borne drilling program totalling 1,300 meters was completed on the same A zone around a 3 km-strike length. Radioactive drill core samples are still being processed at the Saskatchewan Research Council laboratory. Additional prospecting is also carried out on other targets this Fall with results pending.

Let us recall that some thirty basement rock samples taken last Fall on the A zone over a first 2 km strike length and a 600 m width returned the following values, including high grade value up to 2.064% U3O8, 5 samples greater than 0.20% U3O8 (in a 200 m long area), incl. 10 samples greater than 0.10% U3O8, 9 samples between .05% and .097% U3O8, 5 samples between 0.02% and 0.05% U3O8.

The grab samples were collected and prepared by IOS Geoscientifiques Inc of Saguenay, Quebec. They were assayed at the Saskatchewan Research Council.

DIOS, operator of the Upinor Project, is of the opinion it has uncovered a new uranium district with now at least six ongoing uranium projects in the area.
