bart, that and the rest more closely resemble the USSR type of approach. However, it remains to be seen if the heavily armed and historically 'free' American people can be stepped on for long.

My working theory for some time is that when the consumer credit bubble popped, removing the approval ratings drug, then the average American would start to notice a few things. It will take a while, but it will happen.

Where it goes from there is anybody's guess, but the gov't guess is that they'd better station troops in the US as Plan A.
