gregor the more I think about it It looks like they didn't really steal anything from anyone but the tax payers. If they knew they were in so deep naked shorted shares the best thing they could start doing is naked short down their own stock slowly at first. Then they probably laid it on heavy right before the announcements and then they sold their real shares driving the price down even further. So now they have ? naked shorted shares that they got ALL THE MONEY FOR. Then they sell their own shares at a low price. So this gives them a tax deduction. Then the government comes in a pays them again. Wonder how many debit cards that cost them to turn a blinds eye? Those lovely untraceable debit cards that in truth may not be so untraceable as they think. All electronics paper trail leaves footprints to who buys it and where the money is spent.

I think this is a very possible thing that happened and I hope when they do the investigation they at least look at this part of it.

These guys need to get their off shore accounts frozen. Then take all the money from them and put it in the pot. The CEO'S that got paid big money should be made to return it and that goes into the pot. They were part of this fraud and every bit as guilty as the rest of them. I think I'm for the regulation of CEO'S and others Salary. I think they should be guaranteed a set amount. No more than maybe $250,000 a year. Then they get a percent of earnings. Small, very small. Along with them getting a share they should pay their lower level people a percent when the company is successful. It motivates everyone. If the company loses money nobody gets anything than their regular promised wage.

Chicken at the Christmas party isn't enough when these guys are reaping in several million dollars. The distribution of wealth is flawed.

It would be great to get this resolved. I don't know how naked shorted the market is so it's hard to imagine how to solve the problem. Say it's 25% then they could use the money they pulled in from those off shore accounts and buy the shares. I kept thinking one way to do it is to let the MM'S trade on the weekends. The MM'S only allowed to buy real shares while traders are only allowed to sell real shares. Figure we all have our buy/selling points and they are all different.

If it's way higher then the only way they could do it is to give people back the money they took from them to purchase the shares and let them have one free trade to repurchase them back if they choose. Then let the market decide it's worth. If a stock looks like it's getting higher than the value of the company then people can legally short it.
