They like Obama. I like Obama. Nearly everybody likes Obama.

May I ask "Why?"

If I knew nothing about Obama's past, I still wouldn't find him compelling on any level. I don't think he's a great speaker. I find him wooden and stilted. I guess my BS barometer is just set wrong for the Obama mystique.

BO, to me, has the demeanor of a person going through his paces. There is little I've heard him say that resonates with me as heartfelt.

McCain certainly has crazy notions. I don't know where he got the idea that he needs to be a Democrat and Republican at the same time and that the phantom moderate/undecideds want that. I would never be a McCain supporter but for the fact that I believe Obama represents the greater risk to our security and prosperity because he is an unabashed socialist who doesn't care a whit about the people with whom he jumps into bed.

I fear the people he'd bring to Washington and install at every level of government. It will be like intellectual mesothelioma.

Given the serious condition of our economy, I'm disinclined to let the left conduct the last socialist experiment during my lifetime.
