This about sums it up: "The spirit of FDR hovers over the economy.” Imagine this without the FDIC and without Social Security. I now have a better appreciation for why so many people supported FDR.

I doubt we’ve seen the worst, but the markets look like they might bounce soon. I hope so. The S&P 500 is now down by the greatest calendar year percentage in its history, -33%
