Big-name insurance companies. I'm getting beat up on my positions here as credit crises turmoil hits and the uncertainty makes these stocks so much more volatile than they've ever been (it seems to me).

I gave up on MET at closed position with a loss today. MET was about $35 yesterday (Tuesday) when they announced they were going to issue new shares. The stock tanked after the news, yet MET went ahead and issued stock @$26.50. They said they didn't have to do this but rather wanted to for the money for opportunities that they saw in the market.

I added to ALL and a very little bit to an exploratory position in CB. I continue to hold HIG and UTR, plus a few others.
