News Release - Additional property acquired Strathmore Resources Ltd - Uranium property staked Strathmore Resources Ltd SMR Shares issued 7754498 1997-10-20 close $0.73 Tuesday Oct 21 1997 Mr Kenneth Friedman reports The company has acquired through staking and optioning an additional uranium property in a western state. This property contains a large, low-grade disseminated deposit, with 17 million pounds of drill-indicated resource, and with a potential more than twice as the above. This is the company's largest acquisition to date, and nearly doubles its drill-indicated uranium resource. Management believes this deposit may be amenable to heap leaching and will explore the potential for moderate-cost production. As of October 21 1997, the spot price of U3O8 has risen to $12/lb.
