Shouldn't we wait for a classic double bottom? Its too risky otherwise, but there are profits to be made at some point, buying cheap. Look at how well folks did who bought after 9/11 when everybody thought America had come to an end.

Anyway, my friend Teresa Lo says the best strategy right now is pay off your mortgage if you do have one, and if you have extra cash lying around, buy rental properties for cash. If you think about it, a lot of people wont be able to get a mortgage and will have to rent. And though home prices may go lower, there are nonetheless good buys out there now.
