Hey Hal, just to let you know this whole ampex thing is a minor setback

Mighty glad to hear that, Frank.

Man, the Saints whipped Minnesota in every way but the score.
Would have whipped the skins if not for all those injuries.

Skins are gritty....not sure how good really. Zorn is likeable and able; and I think the old D coordinator Greg Blache is truly terrific.

Hope You and Yours stay well for many a decade.

OT lemme bore you with a stock I may grab tomorrow....not saying its the best buy out there, but it strikes me as one of the safest.

I won't be truly back in the markets with any oomph until I sell our home (if I CAN sell our home)....I just do a little intermediate trade now and then....this will be small...just to try and get some more reflexes back.

This is one stock I never before thought I would ever buy.

In this climate seems to me you want a company who is not a slave to any credit market. One that generates its own more than sufficient capital--- This one has outstanding cash flow, 21 billion in cash, and only 1 million in debt.

Seems to me you want one with nice high margins and a dominant market share...so if a recession hits they can drop prices to maintain market share and still make plenty of money.
---This one has profit margins of 29% and operating margins of 39% and a truly dominant market share.

And seems to me you want a fairly decent "buy in" price. To augment the relative safety and improve returns for a little patience. This one closed near its 52 week low today.

May not happen, but if this stocks drops anymore, I'm in for a little. My expectation is for a 30 to 50% return within 3 months to a year.

A bunch of ifs for sure

I can barely get myself to say it....lol

Microsoft (boring eh?)
