When I want to cry myself to sleep, I look at charts I drew.

This one in 04/08 with my post on Jeff Jordan's thread.

And then this chart, which I call "Reality Check!! Where do we go from here?". Gives me goose bumps looking at it. There are a couple of recessions in there with some big market swings I'm sure everyone knows about (1980 to 1985, 1987, early 1990s, and 2000-2003) but none compare to this for now. If we're lucky, we can say that it compares somewhat to the early 2000 crash, but that was a collapse of the crazy bubble.com era and 9/11... oh wait... we're collapsing from the mortgage bubble era... anyway... Even if it recovers, I don't care what anyone says, I don't see a new bull market until the SPX breaks that double top. Until then it's going to bounce around in a channel that may take years, or decades to form. For now, I see a falling knife that only the truly nimble, savvy, and adventurous should attempt to play with.

I could be totally wrong of course. These are my opinions.
