Skeeter,

I am fully bearish on MU right now, but you can't discount the future industry trends based on current EDO spot prices. SDRAM is over 50% of wafer starts, it looks like there is resistence to a quick move to 256 mb (which probably is bad for MU as they were sampling that size hoping to skip 128), crossover ain't there yet (although it looks primed to happen), and who knows what will happen with the other products, which are slated to become earnings generators in the tail end of 1998 (questionable but possible).
In regards to GTW, most sales of a company are based on revenues. GTW does not look grossly overvalued on a price/sales ratio. They have an established name brand with a solid distribution network. Sony only has the indirect retail model to work with (and they established themselves quite well for a new product segment).
Not saying there is anything compelling, but painting a more complex picture than "GTW or MU is a $20 stock because they won't make money next quarter".

Good Luck,

Peter Shaw
