You didn't see this possibly coming last summer? I mean I was hoping it wouldn't or I would have pulled out all of my stocks, but left about 40% and pulled back to about 15% just before it really fell. IMO the economy is still not as bad as the stock market is making it. Mortgage companies have recently put ads back on TV. But I understand you now have to have good credit. It will take weeks and months for the credit market to get back on track. Investors are far too nervous. I am guessing they will continue to be so for a few weeks so I guess I will put all into bonds, mostly short term bills, tomorrow.

I tend to agree with you that its not as bad as the markets are making it. Watching the Nikkei open tonite and go straight down 1000 pts....that tells me that people are overpanicked and out of control.

As for watching events unfold, I've been watching since of the summer of 2007, hoping that it wouldn't get as bad as it is now.
