Actually I think it will be very difficult to find a stock that will
grow by 30% each year for next 3 years and still see stock price go
down during that period. Wall Street's future is next couple of years,
or even quarters. If Oracle beats estimates by 2c in each of next two
quarters, stock will be trading above $40. The point is 8-10 years is
too far down the line for anyone to know. The only thing I venture to
guess is that in 8-10 years Oracle will probably still be there.
ORCL may hit a plateau and the stock may nosedive but I am sure it
will make several new highs before that happens. I think we will be
okay for the next couple of years, after that, I will seriously
consider using puts to hedge my long position if I still decide to
long. But again high tech is a fast-paced industry, the next couple of
years can be very different from what I envision today.
