This is a world-record worldwide margin call. Everything will be sold to raise cash, including selling foreign assets and repatriating Dollars. All asset classes will be sold, including the safest stuff locked away in people's sell-at-last-resort stash, gold and US Treasuries. Jesse says rumor is JPM, GS, etc. raised margin requirements massively this week on their fund customers with the payment deadline on Monday. This feels like multiple margin-related market dumps in 2000 - 2001 period all lumped together.
