On CNBC at the 10PM hour they showed a clip of the great Lou Rukheyser immediately after the 87 crash. In his own reassuring way, he said in somber but warm tones that each amercian should take solace in the fact that they are still loved by the same people who loved them a week ago. Nothing has changed he said and in a year things were back to where they were. I think no matter how low this thing goes because of FORCED LIQUIDATION by institutions, the dow will close 09 at about 11,000. At that time we will have to take stock of how President Obama is doing and decide whether to hold or sell. By the way cudos to mccain for going after the yahoos at his rally. Do you think it was inode, harris, and brumar who were calling obama a terrorist and an arab at these rallies. McCain has one chance to still pull this out. He has to run against the last admin as an outsider. He must become Trumanesque and defeat the pretty boy running against him as Truman did with Dewey in 48. Truman was an unpopular incumbent in 48, just as dems claim mccain is. Take on that mantle and run against yourself and blame the other party for its share of the blame.
