when it was clear that FDR was inheriting a terrible mess Might be worse this time - FDR didn't have GW to worry about and America wasn't fighting two wars. George Soros was interviewed on PBS last night. He has a new book out - of course - buut it was interesting listen to how bad he thinks things are in the distressed financial markets. He said that Paulsons plan yesterday of infusing cash into banks is finally the right idea but that it came waaaay too late. steve
