It is my firm opinion that as soon as they came to the government for a bailout, they were in fact at that moment admitting that unregulated financial markets DO NOT WORK. At that moment they lost their right to lack of government intervention in their crazy derivatives crap shoot.

The government has to take responsibility to reign in all of these derivative transactions and wind them down and then make them illegal except for in certain well defined circumstances.

I feel like a passenger on a stage coach that is being robbed. The only difference is that instead of stealing a little bit of money these new thieves are stealing huge sums and that instead of using guns they are using extortion and the threat of a financial system that has collapsed.
