Yep. Like I've been saying, we have a new game. And, since they are making it up as they go along, we don't know what the rules are going to be.

"All this stuff is unprecedented except in third world communist countries where the government seizes the 'means of production' based on misbehaviour. Fear of losing your prosperity has given them carte blanche with the voters to upend capitalism."

My gut tells me they are doing this because they see no alternatives. As you note, this is unprecedented. Not only do we not know how to do this, more importantly, we don't know how to unwind it when things are stable. And that tells me they are desperate. As noted in the article I posted the other day, LC's aren't enough any more. And that means the whole system seizes up. Because the system cannot realistically operate with the alternatives.

This is starting to scare me.
