I do not believe that it has been mentioned on this thread. But about a month ago the CDC, concerned about the growing resistance of bacteria to anti-biotics, sent out a letter to practioners, urging them to use diagnostics before prescribing anti-biotics. I read that in the WSJ. The same article also mentioned that 33% of all anti-biotics prescribed in the USA are un-necessary. I thought that the article was good for QDEL.
