I started it on August 5, 2008. Just turned 46 last Sunday, been pretty sedentary the last decade or so.

Results so far:

Lost 28 pounds

Doing minimum of 1 hour aerobic exercise per day (low impact stuff at the gym)

Working out with weights 20-30min per day after a 13 year lay off, can work with 135 on bench press and incline press no problem

The high protein diet appears to speed recovery time after workouts. I've been eating mostly seafood, some chicken, little red meat.

I've always been skeptical of Atkins (to be honest I was downright antagonistic towards it) but it does work like nobody's business, though it is hard to stick to at times, especially at the grocery store ... I avoid the bakery section like the plague.
