When I was in college, a man came through our town and interviewed my Dad after dinner. He was referred to us by college chum who owned a book store after dropping out of forestry school. He was writing a travelogue for a SF newspaper. I have copies of the article he wrote about my home town. He was very complimentary of my Dad. Later he sent us his autographed book, "The Collaborator," set in Germany, not France.
