It doesn't matter where he was born if his mother was American so the first bit is ridiculous.

I'm not sure about that. There was some question about McCain for awhile because he was born in Panama. I think it matters whether you were born on American soil or not.

But am not at all sure.

I wonder if Biden would stand down for Hillary. That would certainly cap an election with so many twists and turns that I doubt a novelist could dream it up without being ridiculed for being outlandish.
