From another investor:

Subject: AIG Insures the House and Senate retirement and pension programs

I know, I know you guys are getting po'ed that I keep harping on AIG and there is nothing that anyone can do about it. Well you are wrong! You can do something about it and that action can and must be taken on Tuesday November 4th, election day.
Todays installment is the "STING"
You will remember that very early in this economic meltdown Henry Paulson aka Hank the Weasel started running the economic buy out of many of these companies prior to an approval by congress. I thought that to be a bit strange since Congress controls the pursestrings of the country (poorly but legally). I also thought it a bit odd that Congress at first was a little miffed that Hank the Weasel was doing this with out their direct approval and then that attitude sort of fell by the wayside.
Then out of the blue Hank the Weasel distributes $85 billion to AIG because with out this influx of money the insurance for many of these financial instruments would disappear (or so we were told). Then the Board of AIG decides to hold a retreat at an exclusive resort in California running up a tab in the spa of $225,000.00 plus another $250,000.00 in rooms and entertainment. Yet there was no outrage from Congress.
Then Tuesday afternoon at 5:00PM EDT Hank the Weasel distributes another $38 billion to AIG. This is the afternoon of AIG's CEO testifying before the House Banking Committee when the retreat and cost was confirmed. Yet there was no outrage from Congress. AIG has now been given $123 billion and the Gov't. acts as thogh they have just merely paid a toll on the turnpike.
THE STING

Does it not seem strange that the first house election on the economic bailout was soundly defeated, then the Senate approves it and then the House approves it. Does it not seem strange that the congress is going along with Hank the Weasel like a dog on a leash. Does it not seem strange that the Congress is not outraged at the Board of Directors of AIG for gross mismanagement. Does it not seem strange that Congress is willing to let Hank the Weasel hand out all of this money to AIG with perhaps no end in sight. Well it does to me until I found out this interesting fact, yesterday.
Are you ready because this is the sting and it just got you!

AIG insures the House and Senate retirement and pension programs!!!!!! Now how do you feel?

You can now rest assured that your retirement might be down 40% or might be wiped out but your elected officials will be able to retire comfortably on your tax dollars. If this makes you mad then your only corse of action is to VOTE!

This is not my opinion it is fact!
