The Margin Man can be more powerful than G7. Not sure if anything can stop what's happening short of closing the markets and cleaning the derivative counterparty Ponzi mess through forced liquidations and settlements, and it's not gonna be pretty. The monster is HUGE. The Global economy is tiny, maybe what, 6-7% of it? The Ponzi scheme can only grow fast and then collapse - and when it does, nothing can stop the collapse. Do these government officials paralyzed with fear even understand what's the core of the problem? Did anyone at G7 talked about derivatives, not libor? Did they care to understand WHY banks don't trust each other?
