Modern socialist rights, like health care, shelter, food, and whatnot

I think that one important right that is long overdue is.... electricity. Think about it - we are a wealthy civilized nation. Why is it that a person - only because they can't hold a job - should sit in the dark, with no television on? I think every American should be entitled to a reasonable number of free kilowatt. If we already decide to go socialist, let's not stop halfway.
