Yes indeed. From 1984 to 1987 there was a major reduction in government regulation thanks to the government which I am pleased to have been instrumental in establishing [by the expedient of getting the New Zealand Party going]. <Has NZ ever actually reduced any aspect of government? > But there has been continuing regulation ever since. Law-makers seem to think they need to be making laws. It doesn't occur to them that they could spend their days repealing laws. It doesn't take effort to cut back government. Just cancel laws and stop doing things. It's very easy to stop doing things. Just stay in bed late and don't even bother to "go to work" each day. Mqurice
