Thanks GoldWorldNet -- it's good to be back. I think the days of my being in every-day-computerdom are gone, as the computer is just too draining on my eyes, my brain, especially my girlfriend and it also detracts from so many other things I can do like writing songs and performing (I'm doing much more of this these days).

Nonetheless, back to politics. I think one of the areas Republicans have failed miserably has been in the area of appointments to government. And I'm afraid a McCain-Palin administration would be more of the same, this as evidenced by the top tier lobbyists who comprise almost all of McCain's advisory group. I especially believe that more Republican appointments to the Supreme Court would be severely damaging to the nation.

And, fundamentally, I agree with the premise that the best way to rebuild the economy is from the bottom up, not the top down ... and rebuilding the nation's insfrastructure with more jobs would be a great move.

Finally, too many folks in America are seriously hurting from the Bush-Cheney policies. Given McCain's selection as to who advises him and given that he supported Bush-Cheney 90 percent of the time with his votes in Congress, I really don't see a McCain-Palin administration changing anything for the better for people.

There's been a old saying for the past few decades: "Republicans are for profit; Democrats are for people" Given the experience I've seen through my years in life, I believe this true. No doubt, Democrats aren't perfect ... but I think their policy aim is more sensitive to people. Thus, I will support Democrats entirely throughout this election.
