It's fun watching the forest change as we clean out the old and dead and watch it regenerate. Precisely why I found my career so rewarding. Forests are a sort of organism too. They are born, live, get sick, old, and die. A lot of people do not realize that. One thing about forests is that their lifespan is a lot longer than that of human beings. Therefore, humans have difficulty understanding them.
