I assume you mean "inconsistencies."

No, I meant "consistencies." It's a position I've held through all this. So I've been "consistent."

I gather you consider it "inconsistent" for someone to favor Medicare for everyone and simultaneously support the possibility for extra private insurance. Not to me.

So, what's the rationale for this deviation? It must be a good one.

I don't have time to develop anything over the next few days since I'll be spending all my time catching up, given I've been gone for most of a week. But I really don't see it as a "deviation" nor requiring a serious rationale. I simply think everyone should have basic health care as a right and Medicare is the best model I know anything about. But it's self evident that it can't cover everything and those who can afford it should not be denied that possibility.

If you wish to discuss this further, how about waiting for next weekend, and remind me. I'll be happy to dig around in it with you.

Medicare doesn't currently have a high enough floor? What problems do you see in its floor?

I don't know enough about the particulars but if I did some serious looking I would expect to find such. I expect that all the talk of finding "efficiencies" in the system has led to cutting services; some services which should have been provided from the get go that were never provided; and changes in medical technology that should have led to the inclusion of services that have not been.

That's why I say a high floor.
