John; Just making a distinction between the arguments about Ayers and those about Wright. Isn't this nitpicking? Those who shout ugly slurs are only interested in the emotional juices that spew forth when McCain or Palin encouraging hate. Palin today was talking abortion and completely distorting Obama's record. The abortion issue is a legitimate issue - but not to encourage hatred for one American over another. The choice is this; she can say I am against abortion and urge those who vote for her to use this as a reason - or she can lie and distort the position of the other candidate. One is a positive review of the issues the other is just turd-throwing crap. Wasn't Kristol urging the dialing down of personal insults and hatred and regurgitating of turds as a campaign strategy? How can just changing the discussion from Ayers to Wright in any way accomplish that?
