I remember growing up with stewed chicken and dumplings. We raised chickens, so we had plenty. A great meal and probably very affordable during those WWII years. Mom used to make home made noodles too. drooling here.... My chicken noodle soup turned out well. I'll be able to clean it up tomorrow night. Having some left over spaghetti sauce tonight. Left overs are a way of life around here.
