Well, I am confused. I always thought of Hitchens as basically a liberal. I have listened to many of his interviews and never took away the idea he was a conservative or stupid. Just the opposite, he seemed very sharp to me. He certainly nailed Henry Kissenger, IMO. And his ideas seemed quite sophisticated. I think he writes for Vanity Fair. I agree about his mistake regarding Iraq, but I always just chalked that up to his being quite ecletic?? Oh well, live and learn I always say. Am I the only one here who felt Hitchens is a liberal?
