DrDok-

I called Forward Concepts and had a pleasant chat with someone, don't know if it was Will or not. I asked how they got their xDSL numbers for telcos and he said it was difficult. When I explained that no telco I'd ever talked to would give them, he said they had the same problem. I then asked how they made their projections and he said, "We come up with our own numbers." Lots of laughter, but he added they talked to semiconductor and hardware companies and tried to make projections based on what they were told. I submitted it would be a whole lot easier to predict ADSL figures once the telcos started deploying and he agreed.

On the cable side of the coin, can you imagine any of those companies giving low estimates?

Well, you get the picture.

At any rate, maybe the inflated cable projections will move the telcos to get the lead out.

Cheers!

Pat
