That was different.


Of course it was.

When you cut taxes, you trigger investment which triggers jobs and helps everyone.

When you increase taxes and give the money to the poor, you drag the entire country down. The poor don't have to work because they're getting free money, so productivity goes down. The middle class and wealthy have to work harder and earn less for it, so incentive craters, further slamming productivity.

It isn't rocket science. You cannot give away money and expect the economy to get better.
