Jerry C.: Your article points out SGI's demise in graphics. But this thread has already digested that news. The key issue is does SGI have the managerial competence to move into another business (servers), excel in that business, and thus become a "Super Company."

Super Companies can adapt to changing conditions and are lasting, dominant players in industry. It is apparent what's going on with graphics; what's going on with servers is the problem.
