<<tough road to hoe.>>

WILL YOU FOLKS USING THIS CLICHE GET IT RIGHT?

The proper form is "tough ROW to hoe". I have seen "road" here and on other threads at least five times in the past few weeks (hint - lots of down days) and as a former farm child it is gettin' to grate on me. One does not hoe roads, one hoes rows - of veggies, usually, and a tough one is full of big clods, weeds and rocks.

Thank you for allowing me to vent...

(Jim - not directed at you, particularly...)

Best to all,

Jeff
