Mulling on this financial crisis, where banks are afraid to lend to each other. I doubt the banks are familiar with each other's balance sheets, especially the "shadow banking" with unregulated CDS's, derivatives, etc.

Which raises the question, will the FDIC gain this knowledge before they "inject" capital into these banks?

So, I'm thinking that each bank is assuming the others are as f*cked as THEY are...
