Tare sheets are printed records of cargo, in my case they would be grain delivered to the elevator for sale. This year they didn't send them to me and while I was waiting for them the price on my 13,000 bushels of corn dropped from $7 per bushel to $4 per bushel. I could sue them but I have no proof that I would have sold at $7 per bushel so I'd lose. Plus they would no longer take my grain meaning I would no longer have a place to sell it.
