I read that you want bigger then you think with HD. There was a chart somewhere on the net. My room that it is in is 12x25 and we are about 14' from the tv. I thought it would be to big but the sales guy assured me it was not and it isn't. A bunch of good info here that I read before buying mine. cnet.com
