WTC audio, plane crash audiotapes etc can be difficult to listen to for most. i guess the protocol (in the US) is that the authorities only allow the families of the victims to listen to the actual tapes.

let's take Florida Air flight 90 as an example. now the actual flight audio is actually available. jan 13, 1982 was the date. it crashed into the potomac i believe. there were 4 survivors i believe.

ice cold water all around, but survivors made it out. one lady rescued after a guy dove in to get her. it'll make you cry seeing it. a very good rescue. it's on youtube. the guy saved her. he was given an award later
