1) Only if your phone did not go for a swim in the ocean or toilet or you did not drop your phone from a building.

2) Only if the phone is functioning

3) One main reasons why people are replacing cell phones like crazy is that the consumer is assuming that they are getting the phones for free and they forget about paying for it with their monthly service. This is the main reason why phone sales have been so strong. I hope that this system stays alive during a big downturn. Also, if Google start proving free phone service for customers who are willing to listen/view a short ad, than I would even consider getting phones for my 5 and 6 year olds.
