Please excuse interloping on this all male conversation.

Thoughts on books---------I have books that have been moved many times----there are even some of the old, old books that a Grandfather read as a boy-----how could anyone discard these books?

So each time we moved----a moving company came and meticulously wrapped the books for shipping------and charged per pound.

Some of the old books had also been shipped within the USA, England, Canada previously by my husband's parents.

One day I received a phone call from a woman in Maryland who had bought some boxes that Bekins was selling from storage because they had remained unclaimed for years.

She had opened boxes and saw our family name---not a common American name and began calling people in the metro area..

In these boxes were very old books and there was a massive sized Bible from England with all of the family entries for my husband's family in the 1800's. What a gift.

She delivered the boxes and ask for just the $5.00 she gave for the boxes.

The Bible was in beautiful condiion except for the large leather fronts and backs. I had it rebound-----and yes I paid before all of these market crashes, $900.00 to have it rebound.

And, passed it along to my daughter on her birthday, whose lineage it was and is.

Thanks for the digression from politics.
