I think that they are discounting much more than is likely to occur now that a system wide meltdown seems to be off the table.

Check this. Cash hoarding is still the norm, only very slightly reduced.

Out of the 'systemic' woods? Probably. But into the blackness of slow growth, unemployment, probable high interest rates, huge deficits, inflation, etc., all of which will inevitably affect Q. I think that was what today's downdraft was all about.
