Yes.

I view them as a competitor, but to be honest (and I'm probably going to get flamed for this), not much of one. Until AMD can demonstrate to me that they have fixed yields and can therefore survive 2-3 years, they will remain that way. Couple that with AMD's confusing and dare I say confused road map and well.....

Now Cyrix is about to merge with NSM who has the "broad" intel x-licence and TSMC (one of the biggest fabrication organizations in the known universe) will start cranking out Cyrix chips, no doubt at excellent yeilds.
