Yes, that’s my assumption from all indications. All that’s left is for NOK to hand over the big bucks of “up-front” money----- Which they may have already done (today or earlier in October, since we’re in Q4 2008).

It would be to QCOM’s advantage for YoY comparison purposes to have all (as much as possible) of the back royalty payments hit the books in FY09, rather than a tie-up in Q4FY08.

Keeping the above in mind, perhaps there is some technicality in the license terms as to actual closure, & accounting treatment that would enable QCOM book the income in FY09.
