Suma -

The Obama campaign paid money to ACORN for services rendered, according to their financial statements. I agree that he could have responded better to that, but there were so many scattershot attacks each time McCain spoke, he had to pick and choose which ones to respond to.

It seems that no matter how much correct information gets disseminated about Obama, certain people will buy into the smears anyway. Consider the large percentage of voters who are still convinced he is a Muslim.

As you note, there are people who are on his side who continue to spread false info, such as the idea that he "voted against the war."

I think it's all just a consequence of how easy it is to spread information now. The Internet puts massive amounts of information at our fingertips. Unfortunately, a lot of it is false.
