Recognition of such rights would be bestowed by politicians, not the rights themselves.


Whether late term abortion laws should be "tightened up" on I wouldn't know since those that purport to want to do so seem to be (from what I've seen) very dogmatic about controlling the process from a very early stage (conception many times) and so effectively truncate a real debate on that issue.


Except in terms of discussions like ours, the political debate was closed off by Roe vs. Wade, and the decisions following it. If ideas are walled off as unconstitutional, most political action or debate with the potential to lead to any action, is shut off.
